Castle Creations Phoenix Edge High Voltage 80A ESC - 010-0105-00

The Castle Creations 80A Phoenix Edge ESC is a fantastic upgrade for any plane. Whether you are looking for more reliability or more speed, this 80A ESC is a good choice. This is if you are looking to use a higher voltage battery, higher performance prop, or larger motor. The Castle 80A ESC comes with bare wires so you can add the connector of your choice. Combine this with the external Castle 10A SBEC for planes with potential for a lot of servo/landing gear amp draw. This ESC is fully programmable using a windows computer. This ESC can be used with a 3S to 12S LiPo.

              I needed to power the receiver on my Seagull Super Chipmunk (Spektrum AR8360T+), but I didn't want to use the BEC that is internal to my ESC. This airplane already had high...read moreI needed to power the receiver on my Seagull Super Chipmunk (Spektrum AR8360T+), but I didn't want to use the BEC that is internal to my ESC. This airplane already had high wing-loading (34 ounces/square foot), and this UBEC weighs only 51 grams. I could have used a two-cell LiFe battery, but for any decent capacity, the weight would have been 102 grams. I also like that it's super easy to set the output voltage by pressing the button provided (no fancy programming required). I also like that there are two pairs of red and black output wires which provides less resistance between the UBEC and my receiver. So far, I’m a happy camper.

However that comes up easily and safely with an alcohol prep. Double boxed and good packaging. Important: this comes with the wheel well and landing lights. It's not mentioned anywhere in the description, but that's a nice touch that'll save you $80. No need to order the scale detail parts kit. Very pleased about that.

It’s a great flying aircraft, looks are excellent only one problem in my opinion to heavy on nose gear, wheels are too stiff if you are not on the mains at touchdown it will bounce. The new V2 has great detail and you can get it with a gyro if you get the gyro also get the programming module you’re going to need it for self leveling if pre installed
